 | Martin Abankwa: Director began his career in theater as a freshman at Virginia’s Annandale High School, and continued the art through college, at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he acted in over 40 plays. Throughout his acting career, he also directed over 15 plays. After leaving VCU, Martin realized his true destiny was in film. An avid horror fan, and a fan of film in general, he had been screenwriting since he was 14 years-old. After his studies at VCU, he worked in the news media industry with USA-Gannett, and as a writer with graphic novelist Greg Mayer. In addition to writing the screenplay for “The Clearing,” he has written the features “Less of Two”, “Onika”, and “Blood”. “The Clearing” is Martin’s debut with newly co-founded company, Evil Kitty Media. | Ren Knopf - Writer/Producer Ren produced and starred in "The Clearing", and co-created "The Mountain Top" with Evil Kitty Media. She also wrote "Cruise Night", EKM's short film, and has edited screenplays by many writers. Ren has a BS from Skidmore College in business, and a MAT from Sacred Heart University. She is a novelist (Frozen Tide, Arbor Books 2007), an educator, a personal trainer (ISSA), and a Decepticon.
